Hello. 

I'm Maximilian M. (Meaning: Greatest in a Multitude). I'm a homeschooled sixteen-year-old, living in Spokane Washington. I live with my mother, my sister Madison (Meaning; Daughter of a Warrior), and Mason my younger brother (Meaning; One who works with Stone, and no, we didn't mean to have all M names).  I love names. To be more specific, I like to learn about their meanings. It's so fascinating to learn what we call ourselves every day. Names are our title, the way we stand out from every other person. We don't fully realize the importance of our names. Do you ever think twice when you say, "Hey, Robert, could you get me a-"?

No, we don't. Our names are important. It is who we are. I've found that names are an insight into a person's soul. I was once was able to tell somebody's name before I was introduced. (I think he was named Brad. (Meaning; Broad Clearing)).

 Every name has a meaning. Every name counts. Every one of us has one. Every one of us is shaped by one.

Hello Everyone! Today I am going to write about the enigma that was Kaspar Hauser (Meaning; House of the Keeper of the Treasure), and my thoughts about him and his meaning. I only recently found out the sad story of Kaspar, and it inspired me to write about the unfortunate life of this young man.  The story starts on the 26th of May, 1828 in Nuremburg Germany. A young teenager stumbled onto the streets of the town, a confused look on his young face. After he got into town, a local shoemaker, Weichmann (Meaning; Man of War) noticed him, and the boy held out a letter, addressed to the local Captain, Von Wessenig. It told a part of Kaspar's story, that he had been placed in the care of the letters writer on the 7th of October 1812, and that the boy had been kept inside the caretaker's house all his life. It ended with a dire challenge; Train him, or if he could not, hang him. A second letter was in the envelope, apparently from Hauser's mother. His father was dead...

Samhain (Meaning; End of the Harvest)

Hello everyone! It's a little late, but I though I'd do a post about a name pertaining to Halloween this year. That name is Samhain (Meaning; End of the Harvest). This name's meaning is the essence of the month of October, the last month of Harvest. Now, I haven't met any Samhains, and I'm sure you haven't either. The name is actually a girl's name, and began with the ancient Celts. Here's one reason I wouldn't want to be named Samhain; It's Halloween's original name. Yes, Samhain is the name of Halloween. It's so connected with Halloween, people with the fear of Halloween have what is called Samhainopobia. And yes, that's a real thing. Now, I know that I haven't said much good about this name, but it does have a nice meaning, "End of Harvest." Hello! May is my favorite month, as I generally find April still a little too cold where I live. But now, Spring is in full swing! May is a month full of interesting things. I'm glad I do this blog, or I'd never know what May brings! The month celebrates May Day. A meteor shower appears in the sky at this time of the year, starting April 21, and ending on May 20. It's name? Eta Aquarids. (Meaning: Luminous  Water Bearer) The birthstone is Emerald. And, the flower of the month is a Lily of the Valley. I didn't know there were flowers for every month. May seems like a month destined for beauty. Once again, I will add only five names for each gender, starting with boys. May Names (For Boys) Arell  (Meaning: Light) Arell seems a graceful name to me.
