Hi!

June is almost over, but I have managed to get a name list for the month done just before the deadline! June is a month only like itself. A mix of bright spring and hot summer, June is a gateway between the two. With the summer solstice in this month, it is also a month of mystery.

I have picked these name, five for boys and five for girls, with the sprit of the month of June in mind. I hope you all like these names as much as I do!

Gan (Meaning; Wanders Wide)

The short name of Gan does not call attention to itself. I picked it for it's meaning, which is Wanders Wide. It leaves lots of room for imagination, and can mean many things. I believe that meaning to have a wide array of meanings. From actual wandering, to exploring many different interesting in the world. All of those who have that name seem to wander in these ways, or so I have found. I personally like the meaning of the name Gan, because it is unlike many other name meanings. There are the meanings of Wanderer, or wandering, but none mean wanders wide. Those who have this name are lucky, in my eyes. They have a rich life before them. I believe that they will find success, in many ways. Perhaps they will travel the earth, or be a wide ranged artist! Those with the name of Gan are lucky indeed.

Knox (Meaning; Bold)

The name Knox is not quite so unusual, but has an x in the name, giving it a more interesting look. There are many famous people that have the name of Knox, from a judge in Australian to the president of the USA. And, Mr. James Knox Polk, 11th president of the United States of America, is why I have chosen this otherwise un-june name, to grace my list. James K. Polk died on June 15th, from cholera. His last words, by many accounts where "I love you, Sarah, For all eternity, I love you." Sarah (Now, what I find interesting about the day James died, is that 15th is by many accounts, a very dark day indeed. As recently as 2016, June 15th has brought death in it's wake. An author named Lois Duncan (Desired Bearer), died that day. Ancient legends state that a man named Ovid was told to wait until after June 15th the celebrate his daughters birthday. Many other people died, and battles have started, and ended, on June 15th. A German mountain climber lost sixteen of his fellow members to an avalanche  on this day. It was the worst accident at 8000ft to this day. A volcano and a tsunami killed many people as well on June 15th  It is very interesting how June 15th coincides with so many deaths, including James K Polks. I chose the name Knox to symbolize this, because of the fact that it was the name of a president. I would have chosen James, but that means supplanted, or one who follows, which doesn't help my point much. For me, Knox is a unusual name, with a rich meaning, and will remind me of the dark day in June, on which I will be extra careful

Derek (Meaning; Ruler; Bold Heart)

The name Derek is a strong name. There are many famous people named Derek, from sport athletes in basketball and football to actors and directors. If the meaning behind Derek is any indication, a bold and caring person will make it far in life. There are many ways to look at the name Derek as well.

I put the meaning of the name Derek as Bold Heart, because that was what I first found. The name of Derek has another meaning, which is Gifted Ruler. Both of these meanings are rich, and I am including them here because they are both great. The name Derek is actually a variation of the name Theodoric (Meaning; Ruler of the People, or something like that). Derek comes from Germany. There are many ways to spell it, including Derrick, Derrek, Derick and Deric. I like it for it's sound and meaning. Those who have this name are destined to have a great life, full of happiness and success. Those around them are sure to be in good company. To those Derek's reading this, be the bold person you are! Never stop being the great Derek.

Arley (Meaning; Meadow-loving, Outdoorsy)

Arley is a most interesting name. I was not able to find anyone with this name, that was famous at least. All I could find was a village in England, which is the embodiment of this name. The village is covered by many trees, and surrounded by meadows. It is out of a movie. There is even a red telephone booth! It is the true embodiment of it's name.

Arley's meaning shines out. If the town of Arley England is any hint, I can say that those who have the name of Arley are gardeners. Your life is a celebration of trees and meadows, lush gardens and growing things. You are a growing thing. I can feel safe saying that you are an amazing person.

Alexia (Meaning; Helpful and Bright)

This name is a beautiful name. It has a quiet power, but is also gentle. The meaning behind it, Helpful and Bright, are great characteristics in any person. If names shape or predict the way people with that name are, then anyone named Alexia are pleasant and kind. People may not see it, but this world is hard to be a good person in. I hope the Alexia's in this world know that, and take pride in the fact that they are kind people. I found many people with the name of Alexia live in Europe. They are mostly athletes. From tennis to sharp shooting, Alexia's are competitors.

I chose this name for June because I view it as a bright month, hanging between summer and spring. The name of Alexia is this way. It sounds like so many names, like Alexis (Meaning; Helper) and Alex (Meaning: Protector). But Alexia stands out with it's grace. Alexis has a more futuristic look, and Alex is more powerful. To those Alexia's reading this, keep on being the kind people you are. You bring a freash breath of air to those around you. Don't worry about being amazing, be who you are. I like you and your name for who you are. Keep on Alexia!

Daila (Meaning; Fate)

Daila. Not Delila, or Dalilah. She is Daila, fate. I really like this meaning of this name! What does fate mean in a person? Are you in control of fate? Are you the cause of a fortune for those you meet? I believe so. The saying "Take a hold of your fate" must have been inspired by someone with this name. There is only one famous person named Daila, and she is a rock climber. She fell in love with it when she was young, and moved to one of the best rock climbing areas in the world. If that is not taking hold of your fate, then what is? 

Daila is an amazing name. I picked it for June because sometimes June is a very fateful month. It is the month that is in between spring and summer. It is the fateful hinge of seasons. Many books and plays depict June as a mysterious time of change. Also, the summer solstice happens in June. Daila is a name that is unlike many others. It is not often you find a name with this meaning. It is beautiful and enchanting, and also shows how much meanings enhance their names. Daila is a name to remember. So, to those Dailas reading this, take hold of your fate, and ride it to your destiny!

Avilasa (Meaning; Secret Wish)

Avilasa is an exotic name on it's own, but her meaning brings even more mystery to this enchanting name. What does Secret Wish mean? Are you, Avilasa, someone's secret wish? This name is rather a hard one to puzzle out, but I believe that Avilasa's are people who are secretly wanted. I believe that Avilasas are cherished by those around them, and fulfill wishes that cannot be spoken. They must be pleasant and kind. They are amazing and wonderful. The meaning of this name enchants me, and I hope I meet someone named Avilasa in my life. Avilasa is a Hindu name, and can also be a boy's name. It has most beauty on a girl though I believe.

June (Meaning; Young)

June! It's the name of the month! June is a wonderful name. Unable to be a bad choice, it's deserving of the people who have it. Most of the famous people named June are actress', and have starred in many TV shows. I personally like the name June because of it's simple beauty. It's also easy to spell, so if I knew one, I could send her letters! 

To the Junes reading this, your everlasting youth, whether it be inside or out, is beautiful. Your summer smile is enchanting, and your eyes can't sparkle more! Your inner happiness that brings happiness to those around you is amazing. Never stop smiling, and keep on being the June that we adore! 

Alexandrite (Meaning; Defender of Mankind)

This name has a strength about her. I picked this name because it is the birthstone of June, and therefore deserved a place in this list almost aromatically, even though I had another name with "Alex" in it. The rock Alexandrite is a pretty, strong rock, a deep purple in color, created by the magma inside the Earth (Meaning: ?). Alexandrite as a name is much like the gemstone. It sounds strong and yet a quiet beauty shines through. This name is one to treasure, because not many names are quite like this one.

Alecandite, maybe your name seems longer than it needs to be. Maybe your name isn't the pretest, or one to admire. I admire it. You are a strong pillar, and other can cling to you.
